Biography

Chris Bowen is a Professor in Materials Science and Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath. Professor Bowen's research areas include functional materials such as ferroelectrics and piezoelectric composites. His research is aimed at development of Sensor and actuator materials, Multifunctional ceramics and composites, Structural and functional ceramics, Nano porous and nanostructured materials, Dielectric properties of materials, Embedded actuators and sensors.
